Torque Convertor slip.
I have a 1997 Coachman with the super duty ford frame and running gear. It has the v10 with the e4do transmission. It has 38k miles. I was towing a light trail probably 2k in weight.
After 4 to 5 hours of towing I believe the toque converter would shudder or slip in the shifts from 2 to 3rd gear. It would make a slight noise and shift.
My mechanic friend was with me and pointed it out. He said if I serviced the transmission it would probably fix it. Filter and fluid change the pan and torque converter.
Does this sound reasonable? Will this fix it? Or does a new torque convertor look more likely.
