I want/need more of that pretty black smoke. I have the scmt and 4 turbo back exaust what else can I do to make the smoke fly

 

Ditch the little tuner and get a big chip. Or, you could stick a 5.6K resistor in the ICP plug. Won't add but a few ponies, but it'll belch the black stuff.

 

Now I'm with all you guys, I love the look of black smoke rolling out the pipe. But with all the talk of getting the best fuel economy, getting more black smoke would only decrease that. It means that you have unburned fuel and so in turn wasting fuel. Now if there is a way to get black smoke without putting through unburned fuel, I'm all ears.

I suppose you could just tow #10,000 around all the time, but thats not real economical either.

I keep teasing one of the bicycle riders at work that I am putting in a switch so that when I go by a bicycle I can flip the switch and blow a bunch of black smoke at them. She knows I am just kidding, but sometimes . . . . .

 

This just gave me the best idea... put in a switch that turns on the 5.6k resistor so you can blow black smoke at innocent pedestrians ...... Then turn it off the rest of the time...

Or better yet, blow out a huge puff of black smoke at the jerk that is tailgating you on the biways. Or even better, instead of it blowing out the right rear, have a stack that is centered, so that tailgating Pete gets it full centered....

 

I got a group of the bikers that ride near where I live they think they own the road. Well when I have come to a crawl to get around them I just flip up to the high setting on the chip (125 hp) lock the converter and stand on it lets just say you don't see the bikers for a while. When had the exhaust exiting in front of the right rear wheel it was worse than now with the stacks. as for getting people how about the punk in the new bmw converable that daady got him play his rap crap to loud you just line up the tail pipe twist the chip up and power brake a little and its a bmw with soot all in the car and they usaly turn it down

 

Being a Fireman I can give you a lot of ways to get that black smoke.... Oh wait were talking trucks here. Just put the hammer down bro!!! I personally like to smoke the rice burners we have here all over Phx. I ride a bicycle and a motorcycle so I dont care for the smoke the rest of the time but those damn little rice burners hate it when I not only beat them from light to light but fill their cars with the black stuff too!!!

No offense intended by "little tuner". What I meant was that you can get a chip that is 50+ HP stronger than the tuners highest setting, and the tuner ramps up the fuel a lot later than a custom chip, so it dosen't blast off the line like a chip. The down side is that custom chips are nearly twice the price, and don't have a code reader.

As for the 5.6K, do a search on 10K mod (lots of threads about it), and just substitute a 5.6K resistor in place of the 10K. You will definately want to put a 5.6K on a switch as the idle borders on obnoxious.

 

You could get some injectors, Im running the 200cc swamps, but they i think are robbing the High pressure oil pump of oil, so i get so much black smoke its not even funny. But Fuel7, lock and load and i have some very upset people. Cookie, how is the turbo and water, PM me.

Have you tried running a second feed line to the HPOP to keep it full?

 

Im not aware on how to do that, and is that an option that would work?
