Does anyone know if there were two different types of cab heaters for 1961 Econolines? In my EconoTruck, the heater looks nothing like the one's I've seen on eBay (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2469282192) or in Mac's catalog).
Here's the particulars of my heater:
-The blower motor is inside the box, not sticking out of the top.
-The defroster ports come out the side of the box, not the rear
-The are no heater control ***** on the box.
I'm thinking this is either an early prototype or an aftermarket. Can anyone shed any light on this? I can provide a picture if needed. Thanks!

my 63 econoline has the floor unit pictured in the ebay add. they may have changed in 65 or so to the units that mount on the front wall of the ca. your might try this site they do have the answers .
I have the two heater pages scanned from the 61 shop man. I can email the pdf file to you if you like. The heater pictured in ebay is the same as the one in the shop man.

I may hit you up for the PDF file if I decide to swap out the heater box for the standard.
A couple of things I don't like about the box that came in the van is the fact that the blower motor is inside the heater box (that can't be good for it) and the defroster vents on the sides make the hoses a stray too close to the gas pedal.
I'm going to post a picture of it in my gallery tonight.
