Even shorter telescoping TT mirrors
Does anyone think it is feasible to make the mirrors telescope in a little farther by maybe cutting the supporting bars at the mirror end or the base end. I have a clearance problem and I need the mirrors to retract another inch or 1 1/2 inches. I know this will lessen the max extended length, but I am not concerned about that. Help!! I need the clearance.

LiveOak, the only thing I've seen regarding telescoping mirrors were a set I saw in the back of a Truck Trends mag. They were electrically powered and had an accordian type cover next to the housing and the mirror itself, which let it expand and contract at your command. Too bad Ford didn't do what GM did with their mirrors. They have them to where they can move in or out as you need them. Neat trick. That's why I got the regular electric mirrors on my 250 S.D. The T.T. mirrors stuck out too far.
