I'M sure that you will get opinions on both, including mine.
I have a SCMT, which I purchased a few months ago, I was on the fence for awhile and could not decide on which to buy.
I read a lot of good things about the SCMT, and not many bad, for months or most likely a year before I got mine. And in the months before I made that decision I read good and bad about the Predator.(bad were HIGH EGTs)
So I went ahead and got the SCMT and am VERY Happy with it
Nope, not yet.
That's something that I'm going to have to work towards. I guess I won't be pushing the envelope too far without them. I'll be sticking to stage 1 or 2 for now.
keep your foot out of it, Get the gauges asap. That tuner will get your trucks EGT's up. Just be careful. I have the Predator and I love mine too. Both of the two tuners are great products. My buddies have the SCMT and they like theirs too. It is all a matter of opinion, But you cannot go wrong with either. Just get the air intake, gauges and exhaust soon. The gauges at this point in my opinion are first and foremost.
I just put a scmt on my 99 4 door 4x4 7.3 turbo diesel and love it. what guages do I need and do i need to go to a 4' exaust. also is it better to have a3.5down pipe or a 4'
Just ordered mine yesterday after considering the options.
I did read that on the 60hp that the egt are safe enough not to have to have guages right away. I will b pulling 7200# and dont have guages at this time. Am I going to have to worry or not?
