PSD Front Springs

I have noticed in the six months i have owned my truck that the front end seems to be sinking lower and lower. The springs are now about an inch from the rubber stop. not exactly a smooth ride, even though its a pickup. I've heard that the stock springs are just not enough to support the PSD and was wondering if anyone else has tackled this problem and what route you took.
Thanks.

If you are considering replacing front springs, Deaver Springs are best. You can do a search and find out about them online.

im going to try to solve the same problem on my truck with air bags. That way when i get a big load in the bed, i can let air out of the front air bags and have it still ride level, not nose up.

I installed a third leaf. It brought it back to the factory ride height spec, so no alignment was needed.

I've heard of people installing the add-a-leaf package and having the same result down the road. Check out http://www.wcc.net/~jkmccoy/fordtrck...it/liftkit.htm

I have had my third leaf in for about 4 years @ 25k/year without any more sagging. I suppose it depends on how heavy duty the extra leaf is as to whether or not it will sag again down the road. I know the same is true for some lesser quality lift kits.

with that leaf, is the ride much harsher?
does the truck sit level with a load in the bed?

My truck does ride a little harsher then it did when it was new. But it rides better then it did when the springs were sagging and hitting the bump stops on big bumps. Good shocks, and tires make the biggest difference in ride quality IMO. My truck sits level when empty, and I do have the Ford factory overload rear springs so it does not squat much with a load in the back.

Super lift makes 2" replacement springs that have 5 leaves in them and are specifically designed for the power stroke.

While your at it, might want to add a leveling kit. A f250 sits 2 inches lower in the front, and superlift makes 2 inch lift springs for the front, might jsut want to get them.
