Ok how many of you all have tryed Sea Foam? Does it really work? has anybody hurt their Engine doing it? Oh and one more thing whear it the PCV valve on a 2000 V8?? Thanks!!
I use Seafoam regularly on my lawn equipment (lawmower, blower, weedwhipper, etc), and my '73 Honda CB350. I have not used it on any modern fuel injected motors, but I understand it does no harm. Definately works well with the lawn equipment. When I first put it in my weed whipper I noticed a DRAMATIC improvement within 5 minutes.
Advanced auto, A-line auto. (not Pep Boys or Auto Zone) Recently learned of it myself on here when my F-250 and my b/f F-150 were both having problems in the fuel systems, he replaced sensors and nothing work I went and found the seafoam-had to try and it worked, so I keep a can in my truck now because it is not easily found. Bout $5 a can well worth it, many uses and many ways to use it.
just put some seafoam in today via my brake booster line and wow! that thing smoked worse then when i spilled a quart of oil on my mustangs engine. but after most of the smoke subsided, i took it for a spin and now when idling you cant tell its running, will keep posted for changes in gas mileage and power etc. this stuff is awesome!
Very tight space - are you sure it HAS to have it- Was it a code reading or just routine maintainence?
I did an 89 460 and had my hand lodged back there sevreral times, NO FUN then come to find out it did not need it anyway-that one was perfectly fine.
While here I will ask if there is any new approach to the (seeminly contagious) fuel
and performance problems spreading amongst the vechiular communities lately?
Today was my day on my truck-Replaced ign. coil, purge valve, TPS, cap and rotor, plugs, (store says pre-gapped 0.044 not today 3 right rest not) Shawn and I both have F series and niether one is right at this time after all we've done to both of them. IDEAS WELCOME
