fuel capacity
I have a 02 psd crew cab long bed 4x4 lariat with 373 and auto tranny. This weekend I pulled in to the gas station as soon as my gas light came on. I filled up until the diesel was running out and it held exactly 30 gallons. I was told from the dealer when I bought it that it had a 39 gallon tank so does that mean when the light comes on I hane 9 gallons left. Didnt come with a owners manual, awnser is probably in there. Thanks

That sounds normal, I think. Mine comes on with 7 or 8 gallons left in a 38 gallon tank. Depends a little if I am going downhill or uphill a little, too, and not just level ground. Be careful though, I decided to run mine down closer to where the guage was registering closer to the real empty mark, and it held a little over 36 gallons, which was cutting it a little close. Even though these newer PSD's have electric fuel pumps, I still don't want to run the risk of running out. Some can be a bear to get started again.
