Slick 50

What are your thoughts on Slick 50 or similar PTFE products. Was popular a few years ago...but you dont seem to hear much about PTFE stuff anymore. What do you guys think???

I've used it before but I think I'll skip it this time. The manual says not to use any oil additives. It may void the warranty.-Jack

The reason you don't hear anything about Slick 50 and other such additives is that there have been any number of widely published comprehensive studies that show that these simply don't work.

This is from an excellent book about little mysteries, like Slick 50. - The book costs less than one quart of the stuff, and is well worth it. Before you buy any snake oil, check it out.
