Has anyone figured out if it's possible to make the stock guages indicate the actual relative values instead of staying "glued" to a normal setting. These seem less useful than normal idiot lights which light up and get your attention. Does Ford think we're dumb enough to think the oil pressure is the same at 200 degrees as at 30 degrees, when the engine is idling? I sent a note to Ford and they said "VDO has a cure". Gee thanks.

There is a good article at the following site which explains the problems encountered in converting. Apparently you can make the existing gauge work except for a resistor that holds the idiot gauge at about 2/3 which if not removed when the new and real sending unit is installed in the block will result in low readings.
