If you are going to do all that with the truck I would go with a F250 or F350 4.10 gears trust me on this I have been buying trucks all my life & my point is do not under spect the truck & spend all that money & not have the right truck for the right job. You will get about the same MPG as an F150. Good Luck and keep us posted and check out my gallery. Also welcome to the site....
Yeah, with the possible exception of a 150 regular-cab with the 8200-lb. GVWR, I don't think there are any F-150s that are recommended for slide-in campers.

How far are you from Dorchester? A good customer of mine lives there.

Even if it is a soft side slide-in? (top about 2' is a tent material and colapses down) Looking at the Starblazer.
It has a wet weight under 1600lbs. The fishing boat is a 17' Four Winns single outboard. I don't think it wieghs in less than 3000 lbs. My big concern is the actual seen payload wieght. Do you just add the tounge wieght to the payload or do you have to add extra in for tounge? The cheby is too close on gvwr and the dodge will drop it's it's trans. I am tring to help my father-in-law out pick out a new truck.
I suppose now I am asking for 4 cents?
Your max payload, even with a 8200gvw vehicle is at best around 2000lbs. With that camper, you, your passengers, and all your equipment, you will be well over that.
