OEM radio reinstallation

hey guys whats up! its been awhile, yea... see the thing is i went to put my OEM radio in tonite and well i ran into a bit of trouble. when i installed my pioneer head i did a hackmiester job on it and snipped all the wires from the connecter things. as some of u mite know there are 2 seperate plug/connecter things that go into the back of the OEM radio. i spliced the one for the speaker wire back into the harness and its all good. the problem is that there are still 7 wires that go to the other connecter piece (*which i dont have*). ok here are my questions:

1. is there any way to get around buying that plastic connecter/plug piece that connects the power wires and such (the 7 i was talkin bout b4). if so is there somewhere on the internet that has the wiring diagrams for the stock radio??

2. what number fuse fits in the back of the OEM radio???

quick answers are much appreciated because the truck goes to its new owner in a few days and i think they mite be ****ed if the radio doesnt work

No, you must have the connector. I looked into one time just soldering a piece onto the radio and it wouldn't work. As far as wiring diagram try following site. http://installdr.com/Harnesses/Ford-Wiring.pdf

Also, I beilive it was a 10 amp fuse for the radio. Not sure.

Just a thought. If you cant get the connector wired in time, go buy a cheap radio at wal-mart or pawn shop and install in the truck, if your selling anyway.

Yes its a 10A. Looked on my factory radio in the basement. I would go to a junk yard and cut a connector off a junk truck or buy a cheap cd player ( wal mart has one for 59 bucks) and sell it with that. Good luck.

Doesn't even have to be a truck -- most all the Fords from the 80's and early 90's have the same connectors...just be sure fi you have a 4-speaker setup you get one with 4-speakers. It's the same connectors, but with 2 speakers it will be missing two wires.
