Not that this will help you but just to let you know your not crazy my air bag warning light is trying to tell me the samething. Same make and model truck. I have often thought about just cutting the wire that feeds this light but then I think about all the work that would cause. I will keep checking in on your post to see if you figure it out.

Found an earlier post regarding "air bag warning light flashing" that listed the "clock spring" as the problem. Did a search in this forum on "clock spring" and found several posts with good info on this problem.
