I'm looking for emblems for my 53 M-100, I can't seem to locate any I've tried Bob's, Dennis Carpenter, and a guy from Edmonton that I know and I haven't been able to locate. HELP!
I thought there was a guy in Edmonton who was repoping the Merc trim!
I also heard that Todd Murthum, of Northern Classic,(check out Northernclassics web site) was doing trim peices and tailgates, but he has never returned my calls or email. I also heard he got into hot water with FoMoCo. and they yanked his license...don't know first hand.
Anyway, you are probably best situated to get trim, since it has to be off at "parts truck" in some wrecking yard and Saskatchewan, Alberta & Manitoba are probably the best wrecking yards to search!
Gerry,
Since I last posted, I seem to have come across what we might call a treasure chest. Went out to a farm in Central Alberta (name withheld) and talked to a super sweet lady and her hubbie. These two have so many Merc parts that it made my eyes pop, not great shape stuff but just the same in useable and restorable condition. I've rented a cube van and picked up a case of scotch for him and am heading out soon to recover "anything you want".
I've finally got all this stuff back to my shop and started going thru it all. Holy crap what a bunch of stuff. I've found all the emblems for my truck in this great pile and have ordered the starter kit from Spectro Chrome to refinish them myself. I never came across anything for a 56 though sorry man better luck somewhere else I hope.
Do you have the hubcaps...I was thinking of taking a picture of correct hubcaps and then having one of those plastic/vinyl sign makers computer cut me some letters for my baby moons!

Thanks for the try, something will probably turn up sometime . May get lucky at a swap meet.
Any '57 or '58 M-100 Hood Side Flashes, Front Hood Letters, Merc-O-Matic Badge, Dogdish Hubcaps?
A complete '57 or '58 Hood w/ everything intact would be a nice find as well.

Pictures would be good. Looks like I should do some organizing and see what I've got. So I guess like the card game "Go Fish".
Searching...........................
If you go to my Gallery & click on "Misc. '57-'60 Merc. Truck" you'll find the Pictures you require of the Hood, Badges, Letters, etc.
Thank'ee

O.k. I'm back from the depths of my shop. I did happen to find a Merc-o-matic emblem but it's real rough and don't think it's useable the rest of the stuff I have no idea what year it's for since I'm fairly new to this old Ford game. Maybe I'll have to start a gallery of all the chrome and stuff I've got and that may help some of you.
Please do post pix of your hoard.
Are you able to get a good enough idea of the pieces I need from the pix in my Misc. gallery?
And as you well know I asked you 1st if you had a Merc-O-Matic badge.
As long as the studs on the back are there the piece is restorable.

I didn't forget about you. The piece is missing one stud I think as I don't know how many were on it but it only has one and it is pretty rough. I just got my Spectro Chrome kit today so I'm gonna take a couple of pieces and play, maybe one chrome and one gold. Not the Merc-o-matic though. Working on the gallery but I'm also new to the whole computer age as well. Please be reeeeaaaallllllly patient.
