Just my .02, but I want to install electric fans in place of the mechanical one. The cost is about 400.00 , and it doesn't mean tearing into the engine or the diff.
im with u.........Im thinking about fans myself......easy power for a reasonable price. install should be pretty easy......u gonna do a dual or single fan setup.....
How much power are we talking about here?? Because you know that are fans are on clutchs and don't turn on full throttle applications anyway so I don't know where the extra horsepower would come from.
E-fans can be done MUCH cheaper than 400 dollars. I will try and find some links that the mods will allow..i think for 260 bucks you can do this. EASY!!! Good mod too.
Yeah but how much amps do they draw from your alternator and how will that effect your ignition/spark? Shouldn't you run an MSD ignition in conjunction with the fans? If your drag racing, you'll need to install a kill switch in your drivers compartment so you can disable the fans during the race in order to obtain the strongest current for your ignition.
Not true....Your stock alternator runs 95 amps, which with efans, is plenty of power. I hear a lot of people upgrading to the 135 alternator, but I have yet to hear anyone say their sotck one was insufficient. From what Ive gathered, you do not need any other mods to support efans. I have seen many people w/o MSD or similiar ignitions when running efans. You should get a 3 stage fan controller, so they run at different temps. or not at all. Pretty simple...let me find the proper links.
