Can anyone point me to finding a heat stove for my 88 Bronco II. Its a 2.9 and Ford says its obsolete.
I am talking about the tin cover that raps around the left bank manifold and supplies warm air input.
I have spend 3 or 4 days searching the web and seem to be a loop. I searched this site, but perhaps am using the wrong word or name for it. thanks.
I think it would fit OK. Let me know if you guys need help getting in touch with each other since your both new users and can't access the email system yet.
Thanks, Ken. I am still feeling my way around the site and appreciate the help. I wondered how to access offlist contact, so when all else failed, I read the instructions. (Are most users back east or are there a fair number of west coast posters?) Back to the original issue - other than posting a few more times to get to the minimum, is there a way to legally email each other? I appreciate your help. Jim
Don,
Do you know what other years will fit? I have an extra parts Bronco II, a 1987 and maybe there is one on it.
Jim
Jim- I have two parts Bronco ii s a 84 and and an 87 both stoves (which are are on the right side not the left as I said), are rotted away with rust on the lower side. I thought the junk yards would be much the same. If you have one in good condition...great. Perry
I'm really not sure were all the users are from but it seems like they are from all over. I don't think there is any way to get around the email issue other than me sending you both one, getting the addys and sending them to the other person. I'll be glad to do it.
Don,
I am sorry, but you are going to have to forgive my ignorance here. The only sheetmetal that I saw (and I thought that this was what you are talking about) turns out to be a flat steel heat shield, and not the preheat box at all. I thought that you meant down on the exhaust manifold. Sorry for the bum steer. I did notice a Bronco parts rig on ebay with a disassembled motor (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2469416547) and wonder if he would be open to selling parts - no bids yet, and may be worth shooting him an email. I asked about the auto tranny but haven't heard back.
Again, sorry for the false lead on the part. Jim
