I am a new Bronco owner and as such I need help getting info on a couple of things on the rig. It is a 1990 Bronco with the 5.0L V8 with an automatic transmission. I am wanting to know how to find out what gears it has and what tranny it has in it. What do I look for? Where do I look for it? Thanks for your help.
Look on your dor tag and it should have tranny and axle codes, and also, there should be tags bolted to the front and rear diffs.
You can post the codes here and we can dicifer them for you.
But you told him what he had, without even seeing any #s. He could have the optional 4:10s, or 3:73, or even 3:08.
Too say you have this axle ratio is not right, you can however say he has very good odds that his gears are 3:55. Not putting anyone down, but we should be more open minded and maybe use our heads when posting.
