Another Exhaust Question

I've been reading a lot, if not all of the exhaust questions and answers here, and I'm still unsure, so here's my question!
I have a '03 Supercrew 4x4 off road package with the 5.4 Triton and 17" wheels. In a few weeks, I would like to upgrade the exhaust system to a cat back dual tailpipe setup exiting under the rear bumper. It seems like 40 series Flowmasters will be the way to go since I want to be heard while cruising Main Street USA.
My question is can the cat back dual tailpipe setup be used with the spare tire intact?
I really don't want to throw the spare in the bed which will take up room. Does any one have a Supercrew with the spare tire intact and using dual tailpipes?
Any part numbers would be appreciated. I buy a lot of my stuff from mail order companies like Summit. Also should I attempt the installation in my driveway with hand tools or should I pay the extra bucks and have a muffler shop install it. I did a driveway install Dyno-Max cat back system about 13 years ago on my '90 Mustang GT, but being 13 years older, I'm not too particularly fond of crawling under things anymore. I guess I answered my own question on the installation.

I have the same set-up on my 01 OFFROAD 4x4. I used a Flowmaster #430402. It has a 3" inlet and dual 2.5" outlets. My tail pipes exit under the rear bumper. They are just to the outside od the factory trailer hitch. The spare tire is still where it belongs and will come right out if needed. There is no interference from the pipes.
I had a muffler shop install mine. They ordered in 2 prebent tailpipes from a local parts house that just needed to be cut to length. No modifycations required. I do not have the part number for the tailpipes though.

Welcome to FTE!

I also have a 02 S-crew with the 5.4L with a Flowmaster 40 dual exit.

I had mine done by an exhaust shop, they welded custom bent pipes (they bent them up inhouse) up to the muffler, and they also exit out the rear.

No problems what so ever with my spare tire. But I did have problems when I installed my hidden hitch reciever....but one trip back to the exhaust shop and they re tweeked it for me no charge.

For what it's worth I had mine done at Exhaust Pros for about ~260 or so.

Thanks for the reply guys! I have a day off tomorrow, so maybe I'll do a little legwork, and visit my local Meineke muffler shop and get a few price quotes and ask a few questions. Also I might visit my local Auto Zone first to see what they have in stock.
