Im rebuilding a 72' F100 and there are a few dents that arent easily reached on the hood because of the double walls. I was wondering if any of you might know a website or a place in southern cali where I might be lucky enough to find a replacement hood.
Well this really a question for the paint and bodywork forum.
most of the time if we have a situation where you can't find a replacement hood
we just take a cutoff tool and cut a nice neat section out of the double metal on the inside of the hood ,the fix the dent and mig weld the cut out section back in and grind the welds.prime and paint ,never new we were in there.
thanks so much...didnt really pay attention to the section. Thing is the double wall is spot welded all the way around...I guess I could cut it out and weld it back in...thanks a lot.
