how loud?

How loud will my truck be if I run cat back dual and no muffler? The guy at the muffler shop said it would sound the same as it does now if he put a flowmaster on it.(179.00)
I want a little rumble.not alot

i would go to a defferent muffler guy then because it will be louder with a flowmaster

i have the 50 series and it has a little rumble, but go with the 40 series if you want a good sound

Not hardly, the Flowmaster gives it a unique sound. I didn't care for the no muffler sound too much.

The no muffler sound makes the truck sound like a garbage truck.

I have bassani on the car, and magnaflow on the truck, and I like both of them.

I'm running my truck with a single 2 1/2" pipe, no muffler, exiting in front of the passenger rear and it's a lot louder than stock when you get on it. Back pressure from two cats per side has nothing to do with the sound. I found that out, the mechanic who helped me found that out, too. It doesn't sound like a garbage truck and it still rumbles, only louder.

Forgot to mention I had cat back duals and they had the mellow rumble.... but there's something to be said for that single out. No change in performance or gas mileage and I didn't have to shell out much when the duals fell off in my driveway.
