Removing catylitic converter

Does anyone know if removing the converter on the 6.0 helps or hurts milage and performance







03 6.0 crew 4x4 flat bed w/6 toolboxes, rack, generator, and air at 11klbs w/o passengers

It is against Federal law to remove it. I have read on the Banks web page that the cat has no effect on exhaust flow. A lot of folks are installing the 4 inch turbo back exhaust and welding in the cat. They say it is larger than 4 inches.

Can't recall where, but someone did dyno, accelleration, etc... testing with/without can't and found NO DIFFERENCE !

And as Bob says, it's against the FEDERALIES

I did the same thing, put the turbo back in and then had the cat welded in...
it IS larger than my 4" exhaust...
