Underhood wire not used
Just noticed 4 wires, red, white, blue and black that come out of the loom but are not used. They come out of the loom above and towards the fender from the power steering resivor. 02 F250, 5.4, ex cab 4x4 xlt. Any ideas what they were/are to?

Red mist one, These wires come inside ,under the dash ,after you remove the panel under the steering wheel,look to the left side. I do not know why they are there? I believe that the two ends (same as under hood) are connected. (maybe extras for snowplow wiring?)

They are pass through wires, Ford actually installed them for the end user.
You can use them to hook up various things like lights, etc, and not have to fish wires.

Oh sure, now I find out about the convienience of pass through wires!!! Now if could only go back in time so I wouldn't have to route those damn wires through the firewall grommit again!! (Then again, prob not the best to use them for the truspeed though!)
