transfer case shift motor
ok i have a 94 ranger 4.0 4wd and when i go under the truck to look at the transfer case shift motor, i cant figure out how to get it out, it looks like a hex nut but in the center of the bolt there's something sticking up on all 4, which makes it impossible to get a wrench in there any suggestions?

I have problems engaging sometimes. I have '94 4.0L 4x4 also. When it happens, I crawl underneath and tap the motor with a ratchet. It has worked every time so far
