Hey all I am now one of you!!! I just picked up my 2000 Ex today!! Its a 2wd XLT torreador red with grey cloth interior, and shes only got 37k on the clock!! Thanks to Firestone next week she will have new free tires. I have been reading these boards for years now, I am so happy I can finally participate.!! Let me know what I can do to get the most out of her. Thanks guys and gals!!
Hey Bill, CONGRATULATIONS! I'm a new owner as well having bought mine just 2 weeks ago. Having a blast with mine. What kind of motor do you have in yours?
Got mine yesterday too!! 2000 Limited, PSD with a six inch lift, Fox hoops/shocks and BF Goodrich Mud Terrain tires/ chrome wheels. It's white/tan with tan leather interior. The exact truck I was looking for!
Ooops... I forgot to mention it has a V10. All I can say is WOW!!! this truckk rides so nice and has more than enough room... How did I live without this truck??
I saw this thread after posting a reply to another thread I started last week.. I was looking for support and advise the day before buying the "X". The advise helped and like you, I too am a new owner.. picked up my 2002 (only 17K miles) on Sat..
Now I have to get new tires under the recall.. hummmm another subject to research here!
Congrats Bill.. I can honestly tell you, I know how you feel!!
The more I drive it the more I like it... I hear you about the gas prices though I will not sell her. We will just drive the wifes 32mpg camry more!!! To the other new owners congrats to you too. Bill_T I just called the dealer and they put me on the list to get them when the shipment comes in. Also you can go to any Firestone dealer and have them order them too. Might be quicker that way.
imagine all us new "X" owners sitting on the patio, a 'cold one' in hand.. smiling, laughing and joking around as we compare trucks.. our wives and girlfriends laughing at us.. they know we're mostly a bunch of 16 yr olds at heart..
The sad part is, I am selling my precious 1971 corvette to pay for most of the truck.... I decided I preferred to sell the vette, and get the "X", than drive a mini van...
I'll miss the vette in the summer, and pat myself on the back in the winter.. not a bad trade off in the long run..
