I have a rattling/creaking in the driver's side window. It's hard to pinpoint however, I would say that it's coming from where the glass meets the liner in the door since it makes the noise only when the window is all the way up. When the window is down or partially down then, no noise. As usual, the dealer can't fix it. They say that nothing's wrong and all connections are tight. They say that the creaking is normal since the window rolls up so tight against the liner that any flex in the vehicle will cause this noise. Does anyone out there have a solution for this noise?
I had a similar noise in my drivers side window. Took it in to dealer and they replaced some weather stripping. No noise now except for what the dealer told you was normal. I think there was a service bulliten addressing this issue. Try searching for "window rattling" or go the the tsb link.
Got the same dag blame rattle in my 03' junker.... ....
Been to ford twice for this issue, 1st they replaced the WINDSHIELD gasket, said they was air coming from around it. It now been back at the shop for 21 days and countingbecuase of other issue's. They say they cant verify the rattle in the door, nor the reving up and down or the hard to start, or anything... .... Heck i wonder if they are even working on my truck!
Follow the process of documenting everything and start with meetings up the chain. It worked for me. The last time I was in the dealership, the service manager comes up to me with a smile and handshake. See the service manager and the general manager and ask to meet with the Ford area rep.
