Possible brake problem
I just replaced my front pads on my 94 Bronco. I used Raybestos ceramic pads. I also bled all my brakes with new fluid. Now I can smell a burning odor coming from the front of the truck after I park it. The front rims also get a little warm. Is there something I should have checked before reassembling the calipers with the new pads?? Should I have lubricated the caliper bolts? Does it sound like I need new calipers??

Caliper pins need to be lubed with syn. brake grease and also clean rust from the rubber boot mounts( remove boot and clean ). Did your calipers push in easily and did you do in slow? Check this out and leyt us know.

I used my compressor and blew all the loose stuff off. I did compress the caliper very slowly. I was told that I should have connected a hose to the bleeder valve, put the other end in a can and open the bleeder valve while compressing the piston. Something about the ABS valve. Is it normal for the rims to get warm??

Not to be a smarta$$ but there is enough room between the rotor and the pads right? I installed new pads on my 93 and the fit was so tight I ended up smoking a brand new caliper and had to replace. It took only minutes to do that. I ended up removing all the shims even though my old set had the shims on.
