My Dash Gauges Recently Quit Working. The Gas Gauge Was The Only One That Worked. I Hooked Up The Others And Now None Of Them Work? Any Help Would Be Helpful. Thank You. Beau
Do you have voltage coming out of the voltage regulator on the back of the instrument panel? It should be about 5 VDC. If there is no voltage then start working back from there. If there is voltage the problem is probably in the gas guage or the wiring or the sender.
it is not just the gas gauge that dosen't work, none of the gauges work. i checked for power coming in and out of the regulator with a test light and got nothing. so now what?

Don't replace the regulator yet. You need to find out where the power to the regulator comes from. Like the previous post, trace backwards till you find out why there is no power and fix it.
thanks for the help i had already replaced the regulator and still had no power coming out of the regulator. i did find two blown fuses under the hood. they are two seperate red wires with fuse holders on them. they apear to be original. one of them plugs into the main wiring harness that runs along the frame.any idea what these supply power to. the only gauge that has power is the alt. gauge but it dosen't any movement is this normal?
I have faced many trucks with "mystery wires" in them. Unless I can identify the purpose and whether it is working properly I jerk them out. I have cleaned up hundreds of rats nest wiring jobs. I strip it all back to the OEM harness and then start repairs.
the ignition side of the regulator has power but from what i can make of it on the wiring diagram the other side is a ground. does this sound right? thanks.beau
No , On the cluster (Plugged into the harness) with the key on.
Proble the instrument cluster voltage regulator .
You should measure 12 Volts going in & a pulsing 5 volts coming out.
