Window Regulator

How do you replace a power window motor/regulator on a 97-98 F150? This includes removing the door panel...start to finish.

Thanks

Sorry that no one has got back to you yet. I guess that replacing regulators on these isnt a very popular job
If you look in the FAQ's at the top of the forum you'll find instructions there to remove the door panel. After that there are some bolts and rivets you have to remove. You roll the window down a ways to get at the rivets that hold it to the regulator then lift it back up and use some tape to hold it up while you work.
If you look at the new regulator you'll see how the old one is attached.
What is wrong with the regulator? If all you need is a motor that is replaceable without replacing the whole assembly.

It's my buddy's truck. I believe only the motor has gone bad. That being the case, is all I need to do is know how to remove the door panel? The rest is quite obvious, to replace the motor?

Replacing the motor is quite easy once you know how.
