First of all I want to say I enjoy reading all of the posts here. In the next couple of months I am looking at buying a new truck. I have a 89' Ford Ranger now that is about on its last leg. I have been looking at a lot of truck's and my favorite is a 2003 F-150 FX4. I would like to find one that has less than 25,000 miles on it. Is there anything specific that I should pay close attention to before I purchase my new truck? Any help with this would be great.

Not alot to look for on the 2003's. Most of the bugs had been worked out by then. I like the FX4's myself. I would like to have a 2003 FX4 SuperCrew myself, but I like my 2001 OFFROAD 4x4 though. I bought it last year with 26,400 miles on it. Look for a lease return. That's what I got. It's a super clean truck.

LxMan1 is right about the 2003s. I assume that you are lokkingfor 4x4 having a Ranger. I have a 2003 and love it. You may not have too many options when you go looking at a dealership. I think that your best bet would be to buy it privately. Then again you may not find too many people wanting to part with theirs. Happy hunting.
