Bronco four wheel drive problem.
I am the proud owner of a 1995 bronco. Recently I put it in 4 high, put it in drive and the thing did'nt move. The motor just reved up like it was in nuetral or something. I put it in 4 low and it worked fine. It has push button 4x4 and those worthless automatic hubs. Does anybody have any ideas about what could be causing this. Thanks

get those auto hubs swapped out they are crap. as for the tcase not engaging check the wire going to the actuator motor on the tcase make sure its on all the way. try putting it in 4hi while you are moving and see what happens it will either work or not work. might also change the fluid in the tcase as well if you just purchased it

I ordered some manual hubs the other day. I planned on replacing the auto hubs even if they were working good. I have a 94 F-150 that came with auto hubs; about 3 years ago I had to do about $400 worth of work to the front end because the hubs destroyed a bunch of things. Automatic hubs were poorly designed. I hear that they are better now, but on the older rigs they were crap.
