Cut off Date?
Hi,
I am ordering my new '00 F-350 PSD, and just want to know if anyone knows when Ford is going to stop taking orders. My dealer said, they can no longer order any gas engines because they are all sold out, and diesels are quickly going too. I live in Canada, but the truck is still built in Kentucky. I would sure be disappointed if my order gets cancelled. Also does anyone know how long it takes before an order is confirmed by Ford, and when you get the build date of the truck?

I don't think the gas engines are out. Your dealer probably does not have allocations for any. The dealer I ordered mine from has alot of allocations since he sells about 20 Superduties a month.

Howard is right.. Is that particular dealership that doesn't have allotments for Gas Engines (which is THEIR fault, not Fords).
Check other dealerships, those who have allotments (generally larger dealerships that move alot of SD's) can get your truck..
I've heard of folks getting gassers now in less than 8weeks..
The cutoff isn't for several more months..
