You must also realize that not all of their cars are slow, some of them will waste you in any race, and they give the 60s and 70s muscle cars a run for their money. Just because you don't agree with it doesn't mean that you have to bash them.
I beg to differ- It DOES mean that we have to bash them. That is the American way! I also make fun of guys in baggy pants with ball caps that cover their ears. Some of those guys probably think that their look makes them jump higher, or run faster, much like these ricer wannabes think their crappy additions make their ride faster. I can't count the times I've blown away ricers in my stock 5.4l triton. Remember, just cause you dress like Mike, doesn't mean you have game! And if you don't, you're opening yourself up to ridicule.

So that gives them the right to bash you because of your looks, age, car, or whatever? You guys really are starting to sounds like what my parents would say.

So, you never teased a guy because he was losing his hair, or had a bit of a gut? You never made fun of someone that got a bad haircut? It's what guys do (women, too, I guess). We make fun of other people. Every normal human being does, and I seriously doubt that it is limited to your parents.

I think the funniest thing about those ricer wannabes is the fact that they think they are really cool because of the mods they make to their cars. Do I think I'm cool because I drive a truck? No. I'm cool because I don't follow the crowd. I'm cool because I don't care if you think I'm cool. I'm cool because my wife loves me and my kids like being around me (I think). Does it mean I am better than the folks I make fun of? Absolutely not. And I mean no harm by it. So go ahead and think what you wish about me. maybe I do sound like your folks- I'm probably the same age as they are.

I also used to make fun of those ricer cars, but then I realized that there 10, 15, or even 20 second car is getting way better gas milage than any muscle car I have ever seen. Don't get me wrong I would love any muscle car if it was given to me for free, but I am starting to think that these people are almost smart for pickin the small 4 cyl car fast rather than make a big V8 fuel efficent.
Still I wouldn't trade my truck for any ricer or muscle car, no matter the mpg or the HP.

I know yall might say oh yea Chevy BS here, but the Corvettegets around 25mpg, not too bad for a 5.7L. Hell, on Hot Rods magazine test the Subaru vs. Cobra, the Cobra got better gas mileage than the Subaru, but Cobra buyers have to pay a gas guzzler tax.
