I have a 1992 F-350 4x4 with 460 and EOA. I believe that the transmission may have been rebuilt or replaced in 1997 hence, makings written on the pan.
Everything seems to shift well with this transmission (as it should). The problem is that when going a consistent speed in overdrive, the transmission seems to “free-wheel” or slip into neutral for about 3 to 4 seconds, then back. It does this very inconsonantly though the frequency seems to be increasing.
I have changed filter and oil, but it made no difference. Has any body had this problem or may know what the cause is?
