Rough Restart

My Truck:

1991 F150 XLT Lariat Standard Cab 8' 5.0L 86000m

Has a problem with the way it idles after I restart it.

From a cold start, it runs fine, goes to 1500rpm, and idles for a minut or so, just likk at stock, then drops to 1000.

However, after it warms up, to where the needle points to the "o" or "r" (where it tends to stay), and i shut it off, then restart approxamatly 10 - 20 mins later, it idles at about 800rpm, and runs like it not firing on all cylinders.

This is not a consistant problem, but happens frequently.
Its really worrying me, this is the first of many Ford Pickups I intend to own, and was also my grandfathers last, it has much sentimental value, and any help, is much appreciated.

Have you tried pulling codes from the computer? Go to http://fordfuelinjection.com and click on "Getting Codes" to find out how.

It's not hard, you just have to know the pattern that the thing blinks in, and after that, it's just a matter of counting the flashes. Give it a go and see what you can come up with.
