Tire Size?

What is the largest tires that can fit on a stock 1967 f100?
I can get a set of 4 wheels and three 31"X? all I need to buy is one tire, but the the front fenders come very close to the stock tires already. Thanks for any help.

Also how wide can I go without rubbing?

31x10.5x15 should not be a problem; I've got 30x9.5x15s on my '68 with plenty of room to spare.

Hey, I don't have any answers for you... but your question made me thing of a related question.

What's up with the numbering scheme on truck tires? My tires indicated 265/70-15. How does that equate to a number like: 30x9.5x15s?

Your tires are a bit wider than the 30x9.5s.

On the numbering scheme for your tires, the first number is the width (millimeters I think), the second number is the height compared to the tire width (for example, the height of your tire is 70% of the width), and of course the last number is the rim size. On the number scheme I gave, 30 is the height in inches, 9.5 is the width in inches, and 15 is the rim size.

A 30x9.5x15 tire is roughly equivalent to a 235/75R15 tire.
