Okay, got a ford re-manned distributer I'm putting on the 460.

My stock dizzy only has two wires, one solid orange and one solid brown coming from the the mag pickup and out the body. The new one has three; a solid black, black with purple stripe, and black with red stripe. I assume the striped wires correspond with my brown and orange wires (just don't know which is which) and I guess I can ignore the black?


EDIT:
I should probably mention my distributer is hooked to an msd box, not the duraspark box. Don't know if that matters.

I never thought to look there! Assuming my purple stripe is the purple wire, and my red stripe the orange wire, I am good to go. Black wire to be disregarded like I thought. Thanks for the help Franklin!
