So for the sake of the few, I'll explain myself (as I did happily to the thread starter who emailed me and didn't use the board to publically thump his chest.)
Looking for parts in a post is allowed, helping others find it is allowed, when you advertise that YOU have a part for sale then the thread has to be closed to prevent it from become a discussion about price, shipping, and possibly a negative discussion about the same. Especially if the two (or three +) don't all see eye to eye.
Closing/Locking a thread DOES NOT prevent the user from contacting the thread starter via email in his profile. The thread starter will have to make sure it is activated through his user profile though. My actions weren't malicious, they were keeping with the guidelines.
So, if a person doesn't understand the guidelines and the reasoning behind them, then tough. You all agreed to them when you signed on.
Monsta.. I think we all owe you a thanks for helping to keep these forums all that they are. From time to time people forget about some of the rules... but they need to be enforced, otherwise this site will end up like some of the other not so family-friendly ones.
