the spring itch

Being that this last winter was so cold that I was stuck inside 95% of the time (going insane, I might add), I was just itching for spring. My list of things to do grew from December to February and now I'm finally hammering away at it. It feels great to be back outside actually doing something. I'm getting stuff done on the vehicles and in the garage. I've got my weekend trips to state events planned and my camera gear warmed up.

I just had to let someone know that I'M SO HAPPY THAT SPRING IS HERE!

I know, I know, it's North Dakota. There's probably a blizzard hiding around the corner yet, but come on, I gotta be happy now.

So, anyone else glad they can scratch their spring itch?

Send that 70 degrees to the east of you.

It has been warm here also. Not warm enough to be really comfortable but at least the snow is melting.

It's been pretty warm here. Last weekend I cleaned out the pond and got some new fish in there. This morning I was up at 6AM, in the yard trimming trees. Tomorrow morning I'll finish the job and then this weekend it's power rake time. I love this time of year. We have a nice patio so it'll be great to be sitting outside drinking beer and relaxing . . . in between tinkering on the truck of course.

I had a '64 Bird years ago...great car to play with. What city are you in/near? I'm near Bethel.

My garage isn't heated, so I can't wait for the warm weather.

It was almost 60 degrees here in Kansas City this morning when I turned the early news on. It's still a little early to dismiss winter altogether. But still, I'll take this weather year round.

Can't stand staying inside at work. A few more weeks, and I will be working out of the truck again and outside for the season. Nice to get out of the whole they call an office.

Amen! Here in Colorado it has been unseasonably warm, in the 70s. I just bought a house and I am knee-deep in landscaping and yard-work. Just love it. I had a pile of old wood and junk in the corner of my back yard that I hauled to the dump. I dug up some ugly bushes that were in the front of my house that seemed to overshadow the rose bushes in the same area. Now I just need to find a place where I can get a truck load of manure so I can till it into the backyard and plant grass. I was waiting so patiently for Spring, now it's here!

Getting up to the sixties today and the next few days. Hope it stays there! It was 18 yesterday when I woke up, so I'll definitely take the warmer weather. My buddies and I are already planning the first hike of the season for next weekend. A quick one night "in and out" at the St. Mary's wilderness area. God I can't wait to get back in the woods! I also stayed up late last night cleaning my reels and putting on fresh line. The bass will be biting real soon!
Didja ever notice how a little time outdoors seems to make everything ok?
