My 2000 sd crew cab 4x4 powderstroke measures 1/2 in lower on the drivers side both front and rear. I only have 800 miles on it. The dealer said ford told him it should level out in a few thousand miles. If not they can ajust it. Anyone else notice this? One side from the floor to the wheelwell is 47 1/2 and the other is 47.
Very common problem. My truck has the 4" blocks in the rear and does not sit level in the first place. I was going to bug Ford about the drivers side being lower but since I am going to install a leveling kit to make the front end sit the same as the back, I figured I would just shim up the driver side to get to level.
I have a 2000 crew cab and it leans on the left side also. I took it to the dealer, (waste of time), the factory says the there is a 5/16 threshhold that they allow for the difference. They would not fix it. Oh well, I guess. "It will fix itself in a few months", yeah right. I just had my tires replaced by General because FORD doesn't warranty tires. They were thumping going down the road. I put 305/70/16 on the stock Lariat wheel. These will fit on the Centerlines I plan on putting on it.
The gas tank is on the drivers side, so it's bound to have more weight to that side. Go figure Ford - put it on the other side next time! Or give us fat chicks to put in the bin.
Regards! Keith
