learned a lesson
thought I'd post somthing for the junior members. Had problems with the brakes with my 93 F150/300/6 5 speed. The rotors were warped and needed to be replaced.I replaced the rotors and pads, checked the bearings and found the bearings to be OK. I did not replace the bearing races with the ones from the original rotors. BAD MISTAKE!!! After about 3000 miles, I noticed a noise from the front end. After some troubleshooting I discovered the bearing races were galled. I replaced the bearings and races repacked everything , problem solved. Moral of the story.....NEVER MISMATCH BEARINGS AND RACES NO MATTER HOW GOOD THEY LOOK!!!!!!!!!
