amp trouble

Hey , I have a 2002
f150 with stock head unit . Insalled 4 polk audio GSX57s in it now installing a profile cl440 amp . Speakers and amp are rated for 50 watts rms 4ohms , through the 4 channels . Has high level inputs , crossovers . Installed today put in amp kit ,everthing good . Can't get speakers to turn up to 3/4 to tune . I bought metra harness 70-1771 (into stereo) wired it with 18 gauge wire ran it to amp under seat . Soldered the 18 gauge to the high level input leads included with the amp. Now it seems sound is bleeding everywhere . Fade and balance to one speaker still bleeds through . Now I have cut all my beautiful connections down to the left front door speaker and can get little to no volume out of the speaker . I'm beggining to think that my solder joint at the amp leads are no good . Please help before I screw something else up !! Any ideas I will take !! Thanks , Mattyb327

try bypassing your amp to check things out
it sounds like all your speakers wires are right at the amp
so just connect them as normal to run off the head unit
if it works fine- then check your power wires for the amp
if thats fine your amp is likely toast
