Stock Thermostat
Can anyone tell me what the stock thermostat's temperature setting is for the V-10.
My truck originated in Las Vegas, (bought it used). I live in Cheyenne, WY, much colder climate. I'm thinking about going to the 205 degree therm.
Not just to heat up better, but to improve gas mileage as well.
I was also wondering if a Ford dealer can change anything in the computer to compensate for much higher elevation.

live2hunt; As far as the oe temp it must be 195/197* to comply with the obd 2 paramaters, with hotter temps you acutialy produce more horsepower & run just a little cleaner on the emissions side of it also, I know ford has a hot climate recalibration & I know there is a high altitued package offered on
some ford products , whether it is possiable to recal this is something I will have to ask a tech friend of this. Will keep you informed. turbo ted
