'97 Explorer - 302 - Not Re-Starting
We don't get too many cold days down here but on those few days I have trouble re-starting the motor once it has achieved running temp. If I run the motor for 20 minutes, kill the engine and try to start it, it will crank but not start. If I wait a few hours, it will fire up without the least bit of trouble. A real pain when you want to run a quick errand, pull the boat out the driveway, etc. Oddly, during the spring, summer and fall we have no trouble with the vechile, just on those cold nights and those days when the temps. stay chilly.
The check engine light doesn't come on and there is no error message logged in the system. This is the 2nd year I have had this problem develop.
Anyone else ever experience this ? I suspect it is a computer problem or something with the fuel system, any suggestions ???
