need new rear gears
i have a 1986 ford 4x4 ford f150 truck ites got a 302 in it with a big cam 2500 to 5500 i put a 4speed over drive tranty in it . the truck had a 300 six in it. with the 302 when i shift in over drive it dropes speed and wont pull. i think i need a new gear.can iny one tell me what i have now and what i should go to the truck had a 300 six in it with a outo trans now ites got a 302 with a 4 speed overdrive. thanks

Look on your driver's side doorjamb for the axle code, should say "AX". There is a list on here that gives the gears and whether its open or limited slip for each code. Its possible that your gears have been changed so you may want to jack up the rear end and spin the yoke one revolution and see how many times the wheels go around. Also look and see if they both go the same direction that way you know if you have LS. If the tires go 3.5 turns you have 3.55, just over 3 you would have 3.08 and so on.
