Unhappy 86 bronco shutdown problems

A few months after having a tuneup for my 86 Bronco I'm starting to have the same problems I had before the tuneup. I've installed a new HEAVY DUTY ALTERNATOR (160 AMPS).Also, Ihave an Optima Battery about 1 yr old.The problem is that when I come to a complete stop or idle, the engine shuts off. I can start up right away. What I find myself doing when I come to a stop is pressing the brakes and trying to keep the engine running by giving it gas at the same time. So I have both feet on both petals at the same time. It's become real confusing. Not to mention that I'm pushing two 12'' pioneers with a rockford fosgate amp 1500 watts. A capacitor was installed after seeking advice from a car audio shop. The problem subsided for a while. After a few weeks, I didn't try to have the subs too loud. Kept it at an easy listening level.Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Is it fuel injected or carbureated? I don't think it's electrical. It might be the IAC valve if it's fuelie.

It probably just needs a tune up.
