I am doing a SAS on my 91 F250 with the Dana 50 TTB and BW 13-56. The question is if an axle with a reverse rotation diff will work. Is it the same as a "high pinion", and will it make my front wheels turn backwards? What years of truck will work?
I am thinking of using 4" lift leaf springs. Will that work with the steering arms that I have, or will I need to start over with a different setup? Part of the reason that I'm doing the swap is that my steering arms and kingpin ball joints are shot. I have heard good things about cross over steering, but I don't know if it is legal in Oregon. Thankx in advance, this is my first major modification!
The Dana 60 reverse rotation axle used in Ford F350 4x4's is a high-pinion axle and should work for your conversion. The wheels will turn the correct way. The '92 and later F350 Dana 60's had ball joints, the '91 and earlier had kingpins.
