As we were pulling our rather heavy (9000#) travel trailer up and down the hills in CO last month, the ABS light came on. According to the manual, the light means the ABS system is disabled, but non-ABS braking should be fine. After a while, I turned the truck off and back on, and the ABS light stayed off.

My suspicion is that it was related to working the brake system so much - the brakes got hot and ABS shut down. But I don't really like that scenario.

Has anyone had a similar experience?
