I have a 2001 on order, sure it will get here this millenium. Question for those of you with Rhino Linings. I planning to have my bed sprayed immediatley. I have heard nothing but positive feedback. Anyone had a bad experience or any problems. I am especially interested in hearing from someone who has had one that has been exposed to the sun for several years and can say how it's held up.
Thanks,
Eric

My friend had his Rhinoed and it has faded and started to peel. It has been on for 7-8 years. Have you looked into Linex, in my opinion it is a much better product for the same amount of money. I have had my last 2 trucks sprayed with it. It is like a hard plastic, things will slide on it unlike the Rhino.
I can't speak for Rhino, but I have the Line-X liner in my truck as well as in several friends trucks. The age ranges from 2 weeks on mine to 5-6 years on the oldest. So far nothing but good results. No fading, peeling, etc. Line-X also has a lifetime warranty.

I also have the Line-X liner in my truck. I have had it for 3 weeks now, and loving it! It looks 200% better then the Rhino, because there is no runs, and it doesn't fill in the drain holes/cracks in the bed, so water will drain. My Friend has the Rhino, and he can't keep the water out of it, because it doesn't drain. In my opinion, there is no question about which spray in liner to get....LINE-X!!

If your buddy's rhino liner doesn't allow water to drain it was installed wrong. I have a rhino liner in my 99 F250SD and it works great! I like not having stuff slide all over. I think it helps quiet things a little too. Just my .02$
I have had a rhino liner in my CJ5 for 4 years now and I have no complaints. This jeep see a lot of hard work and rough environments. I have seen the Line-X product though, and will probably try it in my next truck. Both are excellent products, but the Line-X can be applied with a cleaner appearance...it looks great! Hope this helps.
I've had the Rhino in 2 trucks now and really like it. The first truck, they drilled drain holes and then filled in the stock drains in the front of the bed. Sold that truck after 2 years with no problems with the liner.
My current truck I went with Rhino again. The local franchise ownership changed and the new people are idiots. Check out any dealer carefully before they spray your truck. They didn't spray the top of the front bulkhead like I requested, I drilled drain holes with anticipation of them filling in the crack in the front of the bed (which they didn't), they left a clip loose in the tailgate so it made a twanging sound whenever closed, they left a roll of tape inside my tailgate, they reinstalled the tailgate rubber bumpers backwards so the tailgate wouldn't close, they got overspray on my cab, they got into the truck with dirty clothes and got black on my door/steering wheel/seat, they left my radio antenna off and they left my mirrors folded in. Needless to say, I do not recommend the dealer in Auburn, WA. They fixed everything except filling in the stock drains, which I didn't want them to screw up any more.
I do like the thicker, more rubbery texture of the Rhino over the hardness of the Line-x. It holds up well to shoveling dirt and dragging rebar across it. Even my 4000 lb camper hasn't damaged it.
