hi,
i have a 97 4dr 5.0, and i have this problem where everytime it rains or snows, or any type of moisture, my car starts to have this loud squeaky noise. and it only gets louder as i accelerate. i brought it to ford, and they replace the fan belt, but that was not it. its really bugging me, i can barely stand driving the car, it's so loud. Can anyone help?
My 2001 V8 explorer had a squeeling noise from the front axle area on cold mornings, after car washes, and after it rained. It would go away after three or four miles each time. It turns out that the problem was my front dust shields. Now, Ford also has a revised lower ball joint for these trucks which I had replaced at the same time. Disregard this if you don't have a 4x4
