ses light
I just bought a 99 PSD in dec 2003 and ses light came on and the truck ran rough untill it warmed up and the light went out. Finnally on march 16 went out to start to warm it up and it started and then stopped and wont start now so i brought to the dealer waiting to whats wrong

IDM PCM ?
I have the haynes repair manual for the PSD and the dealer replaced what they said was the IDM but its not in the manual but it mentions the PCM power control mod are the IDM and the PCM the same thing the dealer cost was 800$ 1,250 in parts and labor. Itstarted with the service engine soon light going off and on then it just would not start i gave up trying to diagnose the problem. the dealer said it was the IDM in the future is the OBDII diag device from autozone worth the purchase.
